ALTAR SERVER:

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS:

Appointed by the pastor to serve sacred bread and wine during Mass within a schedule provided.  Contact:  Jacques Pouricau, 275-3940
HOMEBOUND
Eucharist is taken to the homebound of our parish on a weekly basis.  Contact:  Church Office,

RETIREMENT AND NURSING HOMES
Eucharist is taken to The Care Center and Capital House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on a weekly basis.  Contact:  Church Office, 275-3940 

LECTORS AND COMMENTATORS:
WEEKEND MASSES
Open to all confirmed parishioners who have a desire to proclaim the Word of God and are willing  to      participate in training, practice and prayer to appropriately carry out the duties of this ministry. 
WEEKDAY MASSES
Open to all parishioners who have a desire to proclaim the Word of God by reading at daily Mass.

PERPETUAL ADORATION:
Affords and opportunity to adore the Blessed Sacrament on a continuous basis, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Volunteers are asked to commit to the same one hour period hour each week.  Contact:  Leven LeJeune 

PRAYER CHAIN:
Takes requests from the public for immediate and urgent prayers.  Prayer requests travel by means of a telephone "chain" to spread urgent requests among the volunteers in a matter of minutes.  Anyone with a telephone and a few minutes of time can help.  There are no meetings.  Persons with physical limitations or the homebound can be involved to help minister to others.  In addition to daytime "chains", evening-only "chains" are established for those who cannot help during the day, but would like to pray in the evening.  Contact:  Lydia Pourciau 

ST. PADRE PIO PRAYER GROUP:
Internationally sanctioned devotional group gather the first Saturday of each month to recite the rosary, the Saint Padre Pio Chaplet and attend Mass.  Contact:  Janis Ashby 

WEDNESDAY NIGHT ROSARY:
Prays for peace in the world and for vocations to the priesthood and religious life each Wednesday night from 7 – 8 p.m.  Contact:  Cam Provine

MUSIC MINISTRY:
CONTEMPORARY CHOIR
Leads music at the 6 p.m. Sunday Mass in a way that inspires congregational Leads music at the 6 p.m. Sunday Mass in a way that participation. Interested singers and instrumentalists must be in the 8th grade or above.  The choir practices from 7:15 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of the month, and from 5:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. every Sunday afternoon.  Contact:  Jim LaBauve 
PARISH CHOIR
Helps to lead and enhance the liturgical celebration at the 10:00 a.m. Mass and at other Masses throughout the year.  It sings a varied repertoire of sacred music.  The ability to read music is not a requirement. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. before the 10:00 a.m. Mass.  Contact:  Janelle Couvillon, 275-3940 
RESURRECTION CHOIR
Singers who offer their time and talent by providing music for funerals of STM parishioners.  There is no regular scheduled rehearsal time, but meets 30 minutes before funerals. 

CHURCH DECORATIONS:
Involved with the environment of the church throughout the liturgical year.  Subcommittee responsibilities include banners, displays, plants and flowers.  Contact:  Maureen Frey 

SACRISTANS WEEKEND MASSES:
Help prepare the altar, vestments and gifts.  Also invite Communion Ministers who are present to serve. 
SACRISTANS – Church:
Involves routine tasks such as cleaning the chalice and wine goblets, refilling the holy water fonts, dusting the tabernacle, and straightening the books in the pews. Ministry can be provided alone or in rotating teams.  A separate group of volunteers wash and iron the small church linens (purificators and corporals) used during Mass.  Contact:  Sharon Keaton 

USHERS & GREETERS:
Volunteers serve as ambassadors of good will at weekend Masses greeting churchgoers and making parish newcomers feel welcome.  Ushers also assist in seating the congregation, help the Communion lines move smoothly, and see that the collection is passed in an orderly fashion.
